The Pennsylvania rule

Every 14 days. And it has to be on file.

Pennsylvania requires licensees to clean faucets, lines, valves, couplers, FOBs and foam control units every 14 days. When an outside company does the cleaning, you need a certificate on your premises for the Board to inspect.

We clean the system and keep proper records for PLCB compliance, so an inspection is one less thing to worry about.

See 40 Pa. Code §5.51 and §5.52. Systems with an operating ultrasonic, electromagnetic or similar growth-retarding unit follow the manufacturer’s cleaning guidelines for lines and fittings.
